Every year, more than 500,000 tons of fibers end up in the ocean.
The reason? The clothes we wear.
Today, on World Oceans Day, let’s not just think about plastic—fashion pollutes too.
35% of microplastics in the ocean come from washing synthetic textiles.
Much of the clothing we throw away ends up in landfills, and from there, into the sea.
Fast fashion produces more than the planet can handle.
The ocean is paying the price for what we wear.
But there’s still time to change the story.
Repair, swap, upcycle, use what you already have.
Buy second-hand or choose environmentally friendly products.
Fashion can be part of the problem—or part of the solution.
