17 May Recycling Day
It’s Recycling Day, and I want to remind you that one of the most powerful ways to care for the planet is right in your closet.
Every garment you choose to repair instead of throwing away is an act of resistance against overconsumption.
Recycling clothes isn’t just about dropping them in a bin.
You can start by mending and wearing them again, adjusting them to fit you,
or transforming them into something entirely new.
If they’re in good condition, you can donate them so someone else can make use of them.
Or take them to certified recycling programs, where they’re turned into new materials.
But above all, remember this:
The best way to recycle is to extend the life of what you already have.
Because every stitch, every fix, and every conscious choice makes a difference.
